Are you looking for a new challenge? For our location Charleston we are looking for a(n) Technical Operator - HDK Packaging.
 

The Technical Operator in HDK Packaging will work on the packaging line and respond to technical issues. The Technical Operator will also package HDK in paper bags, FIBCs, and trucks to fulfill the customer needs, monitor and control DCS/PLC functions, and attend to machine errors and line stoppages, taking necessary measures to restart production.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Package HDK in paper bags, FIBCs, and trucks to fulfill the customer needs.
  • Monitor and control DCS/PLC functions.
  • Attend to machine errors and line stoppages, taking necessary measures to restart production.
  • Forklift operations
  • Correct maintenance issues as needed. Contact appropriate personnel when additional expertise is required
  • Follow company policies regarding health and environmental protection, work safety, plant safety and quality
  • Responsible for RCRA generation as relating to container and labeling usage, maintenance and storage functions, and regular inspections of RCRA applicable areas.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Required Education

 

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Proven technical and mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and other stakeholders
  • Skill set to operate in a fast-paced production environment while focusing on safety, quality and precision
  • Must be able to be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, and vibration
  • This position will be required to work at all workstations in a rotational manner. Rotation frequency varies.
  • This position will be required to work 12-hour shifts and rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, etc...)
  • Perform manual tasks as noted in the job description
