
Job Responsibilities
-Develop procurement strategies (market analysis, target setting, action planning) in cooperation with the global category managers. Align strategies with superiors and business divisions.
-Specific requirements for Polymers Strategic Materials:
Secure materials supply and establish VAM/POVH/Ethylene procurement strategy under existing suppliers and potential new suppliers.
Closely monitor and update China market development, build local market database and actively share the information with BT and global category team.
-Identification of suitable vendors and products. Evaluation of the capabilities of vendors, including capacity, product quality, service quality, etc. Supervising supplier qualification
-Negotiating contracts (price, volume, flexibility, payment terms, liabilities)
Negotiate PVOH quarterly volume include the demand from WKR
-Ensuring continuous product supply to Wacker's plants, simultaneously avoiding any interruption of production and at the same time achieving competitive prices
-Develop and maintain the relation to the supplier including relations as well as communication processes (e.g. complaint process, annual supplier evaluation, continuous improvement process)
-Contribute to the standard reporting: Maintain quality and completeness of master data, ensure timely and correct reporting
-Close communication with other stakeholders within Wacker in order to ensure full alignment on strategies and execution (superiors, planning, plants, business divisions, Corporate procurement)
-For raw material relevant to automotive industry, follow IATF standard and Customer specific requirement (if applicable) to implement raw material approval, supplier selection, approval, monitoring, audit, development etc. activities, and ensure the purchased material conform to the current applicable statutory and regulatory.
-Supplier Management:
Lead annual key supplier evaluation, communicate the results, and follow up improvement plan. Coordinate supplier audit with support from quality, operation and IMS team. Participate in internal/external quality system audit. Push suppliers to meet sustainability requirements.
Qualifications Required
1. Education
-At least the technical education 4 years college graduate, preferably in chemistry, chemical engineering, economics or business administration).
2. Professional background
-Minimum of 10 years commercial experience, preferably in commercial functions such as sales, marketing, procurement, or planning.
-Business experience (negotiations, contracts, legal questions)
-Working for foreign company or joint venture with foreign investor
-Good communication and negotiation skills
3. Other
-Good communication skill, problem solving, planning, decision making, coordination and teamwork are needed
-Fluent English skills in reading, written and spoken
-MS office and SAP experience
-Be about to travel.
