Job Responsibilities

 

  • identify and coordinate necessary registrations within existing and evolving registration schemes
  • coordinate collection and review of information required for substance registrations, e.g. by commissioning analytical studies or verification of use conditions
  • arrange the availability of required data and usage rights, as well as support by external service providers
  • identify and manage new regulatory topics in the area of chemicals regulation
  • plan and support the implementation of these topics in the business unit, within the regulatory deadlines
  • represent the business division in various internal and external bodies and workgroups; e.g. in registration consortia and cross-divisional expert groups
  • take care to evaluate resulting impacts, to communicate these to affected stakeholders
  • validate product-related data and ensure a consistent data maintenance where needed for technical compliance solutions
  • Notification of substances in substance inventories (REACH) including counseling on chemicals legislation and registration requirements; data maintenance in the IUCLID and in the SAP product database.
  • use and improve processes to cover registration-related customer demands

 

Job Requirements

 

  • degree in chemistry, or comparable education
  • experience in the independent implementation of work in chemicals legislation (e.g. REACH) desirable
  • knowledge of silicone chemistry or application and chemical analysis desirable
  • written and spoken English
  • entrepreneurial thinking and acting, assertiveness, confident and eloquent appearance, structured way of working, high degree of independence, resilience and negotiating skills, high reliability and accuracy
  • experience in project management will advantage
