For the WACKER SILICONES division, we are looking for a Sustainability Expert for the sustainability department.

Your tasks:

• Supporting the implementation of sustainability goals, especially in terms of portfolio evaluation and development; this also includes global coordination of marketing and product managers in coordination with the Group Sustainability department
• Driving forward strategic topics & initiatives in the area of sustainability
• Participation in expert groups on sustainability topics and implementation of these topics in the business unit
• Supporting the SILICONES business units and global customer teams as a sustainability expert i.e. attending customer meetings and answering customer queries on sustainability topics
• Conducting global sustainability training courses for the respective topic area and preparing the necessary documentation
• Further development of the eco product portfolio
• Representing the company in external specialist circles if necessary

Your profile:

• Completed university degree, preferably with a focus on chemistry
• Ideally several years of experience in sustainability or project management as well as experience in product and portfolio management
• Business fluent in written and spoken English
• Very good IT skills (MS Office, especially Excel, Tableau and SAP)
• Entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as independence, ability to quickly and adequately assess business opportunities and risks and develop solutions
• Analytical and structured way of working
• Communication and teamwork skills, sense of responsibility and customer orientation
• High resilience, flexibility and assertiveness
