To strengthen our team in Polymer, we are looking for a Regional Marketing Manager (Asia), Polymer, based in Mumbai. 

 

Job Summary

 

This role leads the strategic and operational marketing agenda for the Polymers – Building and Infrastructure (B&I) business in India and across Asia.

 

Key responsibilities include strategic marketing, market insights generation, portfolio and segment leadership, pricing strategy, new market and application development, as well as cross-functional collaboration with Sales, R&D, Technical Service, Global Marketing, and Business Teams. This role requires strong technical understanding, commercial acumen, and the ability to shape mid- and long-term business direction.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic Marketing & Market Insights

  • Lead market analysis to identify opportunities and challenges across B&I segments.
  • Generate insights from industry trends, competitors, and customers to guide strategic direction.

 

Business Strategy & Portfolio Optimization

  • Shape and execute long-term business strategies with regional and global stakeholders.
  • Drive portfolio optimization and ensure alignment with customer needs and market potential.
  • Execute and support growth strategies for priority applications such as Tile Adhesives.

 

New Market & Application Development

  • Identify unmet needs and emerging application trends in the construction and adhesives space.
  • Partner with Technical Service, R&D, and value-chain stakeholders to co-develop solutions.

 

Marketing Execution & Lead Generation

  • Develop and implement regional marketing plans, campaigns, and customer development programs.
  • Utilize digital tools and CRM systems to manage and measure outcomes.
  • Organize participation in industry events and customer workshops.

 

Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, product management, R&D, and global teams to ensure alignment.
  • Provide continuous market insights and share best practices across the region.

 

Customer & Channel Engagement

  • Engage key customers and influencers with Sales to strengthen relationships and generate insights.
  • Support value-based solution development and opportunity management.

 

Strategic Projects & Future Markets

  • Drive specific segment focus, KPI steering, and long-term innovation priorities.
  • Support exploration of new markets, emerging chemistries, and strategic initiatives.
  • Co‑lead the annual Strategy Kick‑off (SKL) for Polymers Asia together with the Regional Business Head, shaping the mid‑ to long‑term strategic direction for the region.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; MBA preferred
  • 10-15 years of B2B marketing experience within the Chemical industry, ideally in Polymers Dispersible Powder Polymers and Dispersions
  • Technical understanding of DDP (Dispersible Dry Polymer) / RDP (Re-dispersible Polymer Powder) and Dry Mix industry
  • Proven experience in strategic marketing, product management, pricing, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Proficient in Marketing Analytics & Digital platforms, and market intelligence tools such as Tableau, Nielsen, or similar
  • Experience with CRM systems such as SAP or Salesforce is an advantage
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization across cultures and time zone
  • Demonstrated ability to work and lead in a multi-country marketing project/team, with experience coaching, guiding, and building capabilities across diverse stakeholders and functions.
  • Willing to travel across India (including domestic flights) and across Asia as required.
