What you will do:
This position is responsible for providing and improving all online analytics for the site. This position assures continuously high product quality and ensures that the Wacker Polysilicon online analytics technology is up to date, functioning, and operating safely. This positions functions as a cross-functional analytical liaison between business units.
- Coordinate and support existing online analytics instrumentation quality and equipment availability
- Translate the overall technology and product strategy into online analytics
- Initiate, define, and conduct projects with internal and external partners to improve online analytics. Provide expert advisory service to other disciplines
- Define SOP's for handling online analytics equipment and instrumentation. Train employees on how to handle online analytics instrumentation
- Collaborate with customers, sister sites, vendors, and different departments on online analytics topics
- Implement proper data storage, data extraction, and data analysis functions for the data generated by online analytics; Troubleshoot and analyze results
- Responsible for RCAs relating to online analytics equipment issues and process improvement implementation.

What we need from you:
- B.S. in Chemistry or a related field
- 1-3 years’ experience in a relevant field
- Able to participate in on-call rotation
- Strong computer skills
- Process improvement experience including idea generation, scoping, planning, and implementing a new change
- Proficient at troubleshooting and repairing process analyzer or instrumentation equipment with a good understanding of mechanical and electrical components
- Strong safety mindset for working with hazardous processes and chemicals. Experience with lock out tag out, energy isolation plans, and first line breaks
- Able to analyze data and trends to troubleshoot equipment performance or answer customer quality concerns
- Experience with in-process analyzers or similar equipment, especially gas chromatographs, tunable lasers, thermal conductivity detectors, infrared spectrometers preferred
- Team player, able to work with various functions and levels of the organization, who is keen on practical work orientation and striving for continuous improvement
- Ideal candidate should be independent, responsible, well-organized, and a self-starter with a target-oriented work style
