At our site in Zhangjiagang, we are currently looking for a(n) Sr. EHSS Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

- Work as EHSS window person for defined area and or responsibility to provide relevant EHSS support to achieve the defined EHSS target.
- Support and participate in relevant risk analysis of operation safety such as Plausibility Check, Wacker Analysis, Avoidance of Explosion, MOC, JSRA, PSSR, HAZOP etc. check the quality of it and ensure all are implemented.
- Conduct regular and/or routine EHSS inspection on site to supervise the implementation of EHSS related requirements and to provide EHSS advice to operation when necessary.
- Draft or develop EHSS related procedure as required, i.e. work permit, incident reporting and RCA, process safety management etc.;
- Conduct relevant EHSS training and/or audit as planned regularly or as required based on site situation.
- Provide EHSS support for work permit control which include inspection and supervision of the implementation of this procedure and singing defined specific work permit.
- Support for construction safety site when necessary, i.e. new project.
- Support for fire-fighting, emergency drill and training when necessary.
- Familiar with safety standardization and support for relevant work when necessary, i.e. annual self-assessment of safety standardization for the responsible area;
- Support EHSS activities such as EHSS campaign, Weekly topics, safety discussion, safety day/open day;
- Support incident reporting and RCA system i.e. review incident report, follow up relevant actions etc.; 
- Support other site EHSS when necessary i.e. in urgent case, new project etc.
- Support RC activity of AICM audit/ peer review, support local RC activity of training, inspection for local companies etc.
- Support for legal compliance review and supervise the relevant implementation.  
- Other task assigned.

 

Qualifications Required:

- University diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, Safety Engineering;
- More than 5 years working experiences in Chemical, Petrochemical or Pharmaceutical industries.
- Familiar with risk assessment tools of HAZOP, LOPA, JSRA etc. and process safety management.
- Familiar with safety standardization system and its requirement, and able to conduct self-assessment of safety standardization.
- Certified safety engineer is required. 
- Good English skill in writing and speaking.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
