At our site in Zhangjiagang, we are currently looking for a(n) Project Manager - M&P.

Job Responsibilities

- Lead a Wacker internal project team with cross discipline engineers to prepare project design basis and scope (Front-End-Engineering) including technology selection, material equipment specification (Mechanical, E&IC, civil etc.) , layout plan.
- Lead to prepare cost estimates and project schedules in support of project schedule and cost controller.
- Lead for project engineering design (basic & detail engineering design) including the external contractors (CDI), be responsible for the quality and time-line of engineering deliverables.
- Lead for project procurement activities with support from Wacker procurement team to prepare the project procurement strategy, procurement plan, expediting plan.
- Lead for project construction activities with support from construction coeditor (CSA and MEI) or construction manager, QC engineer to prepare the construction plan, execution the installation plan within time-line and without quality claim.
- Lead for technical support during commission and start-up including "trouble-shooting".
- Manage project in the SAP for the project application, order requisition, expenditure control and etc.
- Search actively for opportunities to improve project performance during all phases
- Establish local know-how in the relevant discipline and share with other/new project members/teams from Wacker.
- Response for the project document management and provide project as-built documentation with Wacker standard quality.

Qualifications Required

- Bachelor degree or above in chemical/process or mechanical engineering.
- Over 10 years working experience as project engineer or project manager in chemical industry or engineering company (engineering for chemical companies/chemical plants).
- Over 3 years working experience as a project manager for capital investment projects in chemical industry.
- Familiar with the principals and procedures of project engineering practices and project management.
- Familiar with chemical unit operations, equipment and machinery used in chemical industry.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, official specifications, regulations and technical instructions.
- Effective communication skills in English (oral and writing) are expected.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP would be helpful
- Strong and effective communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
- Strong spirit of teamwork
- Willingness to continuously build knowledge and broaden skills
- High flexibility, high sense of responsiveness, open mindedness
