At our site in Zhangjiagang, we are currently looking for a(n) Project Engineer-Scheduling.

Job Responsibilities:

- Support the Project/Engineering Manager with regard to various scheduling issues.
- Develop schedules at all project stages from feasibility study to start up. The level of the schedules ranges from simple bar charts to detailed computerized networks depending on the project stage and available information. project schedules should be analyzed for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify the critical path of a project and the resource requirements of critical activities.
- Search actively for opportunities to improve project schedule performance during all phases.
- Track and monitor all activities of relevant Wacker cooperated functions (procurement, EHSS, PA, Finance) and external parties (authorities, EQP supplier and service contractors) during the execution phases of the project:
- Project execution within schedule
- Progress tracking in all critical and relevant activities
- Identify variations in project schedules (Plan vs Actual/Forecast)
- Corrective action in case of variations 
- Forecast analysis and monthly schedule reports, also for alternative opportunities.
- Actively participate in project meetings, provide necessary inputs.
- Provide necessary input to show the influence on schedule and costs. 
- Represent the owner interests of schedule controlling in the project towards the engineering company (CDI), construction companies, EQP/material supplier ...

Qualifications Required:

Educational background:
- Bachelor degree or above in chemical/process, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or E&I engineering.
- Over 8 years working experience in chemical industry, either in engineering company (or CDI) or an international chemical company, or a construction company (for chemical companies/chemical plants).
- Over 5 years working experience as project schedule controller for capital investment projects in chemical industry, either in engineering company (or CDI) or an international chemical company, or a construction company (for chemical companies/chemical plants).
Skills:
- Familiar with authority permitting workflow and procedure for typical capital investment project.
- Familiar with workflow and procedure for engineering design of engineering company (or CDI) or CSA &MEI construction (preferred).
- Effective communication skills in English (oral and writing) are expected.
- Good organizational and analytical abilities.
- Able to work in interdisciplinary and intercultural project teams.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Project (P3 is also preferred), knowledge of SAP would be helpful.
- Strong spirit of teamwork.
- Willingness to continuously build knowledge and broaden skills.
- High flexibility, high sense of responsiveness, open mindedness.
