To strengthen our team in Namgu, Ulsan-si, we are looking for you as a Piping Engineer (f/m/d)

 

 

Job Responsibilities

1. Project Management
Design review in the piping and static equipment (including stress analysis, material selection, etc.)
Review and management of maintenance manuals for new piping and static equipment
Collaboration with supervision and certification agencies in the piping and static equipment (e.g., KS, ISO certifications)

2. Preventive Maintenance (PM)
Establishment of maintenance standards for piping and static equipment (standardizing lubrication, cleaning, replacement tasks, etc.)
Analysis of data (vibration, temperature, noise, etc.) for predictive maintenance of piping and static equipment
Management of external facilities(UG pipe)( (visual inspection, underground pipe safety diagnosis, electrical methods, EOCS system, etc.)

3. Maintenance record management
Preparation and management of maintenance reports for piping and static equipment
Technical document updates according to Management of Change (MOC) system

4. TA Budget management
TA (Turnaround) budget planning and expenditure analysis
Reviewing and analyzing cost saving item for WOS/FSO

5. Establishment and management of equipment quality standards
Establishment of quality standards and development of inspection methods for piping and static equipment
Managing inspection, testing, and certification processes for piping and static equipment
Managing suppliers and third‑party inspection contractors for piping and static equipment systems
Issue NCRs and perform RCA
Quality inspection of new and replacement parts for piping and static equipment (materials, dimensions, performance, etc.)

6. Procurement
Purchase Requisition (PR) review and submission
Vendor selection and price/quality comparison (RFQ issuance and TBE)

7. Material requirements planning
Material demand analysis for maintenance and modification projects related to piping and static equipment
Life cycle management and analysis of replacement intervals for piping and static equipment

 

 

 

Qualification Required

1. Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.

2. Skills & Technical Competencies
Ability to analyze field issues (interference, missing components) and propose practical solutions.
Proficiency in reviewing P&IDs, isometrics, and GA drawings; ability to identify design errors.
Skilled in document and data management including BOM/MTO verification, vendor document review, and maintaining as‑built records.
Proficiency in digital engineering tools (2D/3D modeling, ERP material integration).
Strong communication skills for coordinating with design, procurement, and field teams.

3. Knowledge Requirements
Working knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME B31.3, BPVC, API 610/650, ISO, KS).
Understanding of piping design principles including layout, supports, expansion loops, drains/vents.
Knowledge of mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, tanks) and maintenance principles.
Knowledge of test/inspection criteria such as hydrotest, pneumatic test, NDT acceptance levels.
Familiarity with PSM, high‑pressure gas, hazardous materials, and fire‑protection related regulations.

4. Behavioral Competencies

Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining progress and quality.
Strong learning orientation and commitment to developing technical expertise.

5. Licenses & Certificates (Preferred)
Mechanical Engineer / Industrial Engineer
Piping Engineer / Industrial Engineer
Industrial Safety Engineer
English proficiency (medium level or above)

6. Training (Preferred)
Piping design & stress analysis courses
Pressure vessel & heat exchanger design courses
Plant project management (PMP preparation)
Industrial safety & hazardous materials handling (KOSHA)

7. Required Job Experience
Minimum 3 years in one or more of the following roles:
Maintenance Engineer (PM/CM operation, troubleshooting, inspection standard development)
Project/Mechanical & Piping Engineer (modification/replacement projects; FAT/SAT experience)
Field Engineer (setup/overhaul/commissioning, vendor coordination, technical validation)
