To strengthen our team in Namgu, Ulsan-si, we are looking for you as a Electrical & Instrument Engineer (f/m/d)

 

Job Responsibilities

1. legal EHS Management
Conduct energy audits and provide technical guidance to improve energy efficiency

2. Project Management
Design review and engineering documentation for electrical & instrumentation systems
Review and manage maintenance manuals of new equipment  for electrical & instrumentation systems
Collaboration with inspection/certification bodies (KS, ISO, etc.)

3. Preventive Maintenance (PM)
Establish maintenance standards for electrical & instrumentation equipment (standardizing lubrication, cleaning, replacement work, etc.)
Analysis of data (vibration, temperature, noise, etc.) for predictive maintenance of electrical & instrumentation equipment
Management of external facilities(UG pipe)( (visual inspection, underground pipe safety diagnosis, electrical methods, EOCS system, etc.)

4. Maintenance record management
Preparation and management of maintenance reports for electrical  & instrumentation equipment
Technical document updates according to Management of Change (MOC) system
Tracking and Analyzing Electricity cost

5. Budget management
TA (Turnaround) budget planning and expenditure analysis
Reviewing and analyzing cost saving item for WOS/FSO

6. Establishment and management of equipment quality standards
Establishment of quality standards and development of inspection methods  for electrical  & instrumentation equipment
Inspection, testing, and certification management for electrical  & instrumentation equipment
Managing suppliers and outsourced inspection service providers for electrical  & instrumentation equipment
Issue NCRs and perform RCA
Quality inspection of new/replacement parts for electrical  & instrumentation equipment (materials, dimensions, performance, etc.)

7. Procurement
Purchase Requisition (PR) review and submission
Vendor selection and price/quality comparison (RFQ issuance and TBE)

8. Material requirements planning
Material demand analysis for maintenance and project-based electrical  & instrumentation equipment
Managing the life cycle of electrical  & instrumentation equipment and analyzing optimal replacement intervals.

 

Qualification Required

1. Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics.

2. Skills & Technical Competencies
Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Skills
P&ID Interpretation & Loop Checking
Predictive Maintenance Data Analysis
PLC/DCS Basic Operation
Quality & Inspection Competency

3. Knowledge Requirements
Electrical Fundamentals : Motors, power distribution, transformers, protective relays, grounding systems, and industrial electrical safety standards.
Instrumentation Fundamentals : Sensors, valves, transmitters, control loops, signal types, and basic calibration/diagnostics.
Control Systems : Basic knowledge of PLC, DCS, and process automation principles.
Process Engineering Basics : P&ID interpretation, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics as applicable to plant operation.
EHS & Regulatory Compliance : Understanding of PSM, KOSHA, and relevant legal requirements; ability to support EHS audits, inspections, and compliance actions.

4. Behavioral Competencies
Analytical Thinking : Ability to break down complex problems, identify relationships, and evaluate priorities logically.
Inspection & Feedback Orientation : Capability to continuously monitor field activities, identify issues early, and provide corrective feedback promptly.

Learning Agility : Strong willingness and discipline to continuously develop specialized knowledge and technical expertise.
Problem‑Solving : Ability to determine root causes, utilize technical resources effectively, and implement solutions within appropriate timelines.

5. Licenses & Certificates (Preferred)
Electrical Engineer / Electrical Industrial Engineer
Instrumentation Engineer / Instrumentation Industrial Engineer
English proficiency: Medium level (Required for cross‑site and vendor communication).

6. Training (Preferred)
Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer Training Program (KOPIA).
Plant PLC Control Design Training (KOPIA).
Practical Plant Process Management Training (KOPIA).

7. Required Job Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in at least one of the following roles:
Maintenance Engineer : Experience with PM/CM operations, equipment troubleshooting, checklist/SOP development, and field reliability activities.
Project / Electrical Engineer : Experience in equipment modification, replacement, or new installation projects.
Capable of managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, procurement, and executing FAT/SAT.
Field Engineer : Experience supporting equipment setup, overhaul, commissioning, and technical verification in collaboration with vendors.
