KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Active role within WACKER SILICONES’ BU/SU/Operations relevant (decision-making) committees. Business advisor for all relevant questions and decision-making points; sparring partner of other managerial functions.
- Analysis and statements on all financial matters of company and business-fields, including but not limited to
- Opportunities and risks for the business unit(s)
- Profitability analysis
- Investment and profitability calculations/analysis
- Shutdown and bottleneck considerations
- Company and business-field evaluations
- Evaluation of acquisitions or divestments
- Creation of / comments on planned / actual CM analysis
- Creation of rolling forecasts
• Planning / budgeting (BP1, BP5) including sales & profit, cost center planning and cost unit controlling
• Creation and further development of a regular global reporting systems on BU/SU/Operations level
• Introduction / further development of business instruments and controlling aids
• Evaluation / analysis of the business development of joint ventures
• Business contact person of BUs/SUs/Operations advice and training on all controlling-related topics
• Lead and participation in projects of the division and its subunits (BU, SU, Operations, Innovation, …)
• Agile deployment within the organizational unit to balance workload peaks
• Special assignments
- Ad-hoc inquiries
- Divisional projects (e.g. M&A projects, establishment of JVs, etc.)
- Support of trainees / interns / diploma students
- Business Trainings
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Education
- Master's/Bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on controlling, finance, accounting or management (Master’s degree preferred) or similar qualifications, or a degree in chemistry with additional qualifications in business studies.
Practical Experience
- Several years of experience in controlling or comparable business fields in multinational company; alternatively, experience in a business consultancy firm.
Knowledge
- Very good knowledge of business administration
- Very good knowledge of methods and procedures of operational and strategic controlling
- Knowledge of production processes, material flows and WACKER SILICONES’ product portfolio
- Good basic chemical-technological knowledge
Skill
- Strong analytical capabilities; able to comprehend complex issues and think using an entrepreneurial mindset
- Sound experience in presentation and moderation techniques as well as in project management
- Very good written and spoken English and Chinese
- Very good software user skills (MS Office, SAP + Business Objects)
