The team has extensive experience up to phase III clinical supply and successfully released more than 100 GMP batches for advanced therapy applications. WACKER BIOTECH On track to becoming the world’s finest plasmid DNA medicine manufacturer. At our San Diego site, we are currently looking for a(n) ​Sr. Faciilities Technician - Facilities Site Services​ to be a part of our growing team.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

This position reports to the Associate Director, Facilities Site Services and is responsible for Facilities Site Services.  Responsibilities for this role include:

 

  • Oversight of facilities support vendors to ensure reliable, secure, safe, and compliant site.
  • Site lead in managing various environmental chambers for configuration with the Siemens Apogee/Insight Building Management System (BMS).
  • Operations and management of the BMS, responding to alarms and repairing/changing/adding points on the BMS.
  • Support Manufacturing and building automation systems.
  • Operations and management of the life safety fire control system.
  • Day-to-day operations and support of the physical plant, clean utilities, building systems & grounds.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrical distribution systems and lighting systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair of automation control systems for Manufacturing systems and utilities.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment and plant/utility systems.
  • Daily rounds of the site, rooftop, mechanical yard and interior to log key system parameters.
  • Interface with customers and assist in resolving facilities related issues.
  • Execution of facilities related work requests and timely closure of work orders.
  • Conducing routine preventative maintenance and repairs of facilities equipment including HVAC, refrigeration units, physical plant, clean utilities and site support equipment.
  • Execution of miscellaneous facilities related projects as directed.
  • Maintaining clean, organized and clutter-free workspaces.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related field, a related certification or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of position related experience.
