Our regional presence in the U.S. is focused on GMP-compliant manufacturing of plasmid DNA products up to 500L. The team has extensive experience up to phase III clinical supply and successfully released more than 100 GMP batches for advanced therapy applications.  At our San Diego site, we are currently looking for a ​QC Raw Materials Program Intern​.

The QC Raw Materials Program Intern will be responsible for the following:

Raw Material Program
Supportive Role for the following items:
Development of a raw materials program in alignment with industry standards.
Development of a new risk assessment procedure for raw materials.
Implementation of new risk assessment for current and new raw materials.
Update raw materials specifications as required.
Determine outsourced testing laboratories to fulfill specification testing.
Work with raw materials vendors to obtain non-compendial assays used to release materials per Certificate of Analysis.
Develop a qualified raw material vendor procedure.
Develop a critical raw material determination criteria and proceduralize.
Develop a database to track and trend raw material turnaround time internally and externally and overall cost to release a single lot of material.
Determine externally performed assays to bring inhouse based upon future cost savings.

Project Objectives:
Reduce QC raw materials analyst time to support this project.
Determination of RM turnaround time and costs.
Potential future cost savings for assays that can be brought inhouse.


Preferred Majors:

Desired experiences and qualifications:
Microsoft Excel and/or Access Proficiency 
Understanding and proficient in Statistics
