The QC Associate II (Microbiology) position will work as part of the QC team to support routine environmental monitoring of air, surface and clean utilities as well as support for in-process and release testing. The team member will perform analysis of environmental monitoring test results according to SOPs and Test Methods. The analyst must provide on-time, high quality results to meet Manufacturing demands.
Position Responsibilities:
• Analysis of environmental samples according to Standard Operating Procedures and Test Methods.
• Routine environmental monitoring of air, surface, water, gas, and steam systems.
• Documentation of results in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Perform routine testing such as Bioburden, Endotoxin, TOC, and Conductivity with supervisor direction.
• General lab support including housekeeping, equipment maintenance, inventory of supplies, etc.
• Perform assay review and SOP revisions, achieved with assay competency with supervisor direction.
Position Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of aseptic technique preferred.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, high workload environment, and be able to manage multiple projects and objectives for on-time event closure.
• Must work well on a team and be able to trouble shoot and problem solve in a cross functional team setting. Must be proactive, action oriented, and have the ability to adapt to a change.
• Must have strong communication skills both verbally and written.
• Bachelor of Arts/Science in science-related discipline: Microbiology or other relevant science discipline.
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego is $70,000.00- 80,000.00. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc . Wacker is a multi state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
