IT Sofware Engineer IIOT / Industrial Edge
Job Responsibilities
- Development/implementation and further development of global deployed systems in the industrial environment of digital worker, digital manufacturing as well as collaboration of global OT and IT security and infrastructure units
- Collaboration on very large agile IT projects, especially in the digital manufacturing environment
- Further development of IIOT / industrial edge concepts and strategic design of the cloud-based system architecture and development of strategic cross-service concepts (e.g., for security, reliability, maintainability) and, together with the product owners, implementation of the respective service implementation teams
Essential Functions of this Position:
- Operations / Monitoring and further development of the global deployed IIOT, Industrial Edge Solutions as well as collaboration of global Shopfloor Connectivity
- Global Operations / Monitoring of our IIOT / LoRaWan, Industrial Edge Solutions
- Work together with our Product Owner (Digital Worker, MOM, MES Systems, Shopfloor Connectivity) on new solutions
- Support / Coordinate the ongoing Rollout
- Customer consulting for IIOT / Edge Use Cases
- Consulting how our customers can bring the Use Cases successfully to the platform, what is possible with the Platform
- Be an accelerator for new use case implementations by contributing knowledge
- Collaboration on very large agile IT projects, especially in the digital worker, digital manufacturing environment
- Be a part on the rollout of MES Systems, Digital Worker Platform and Use Cases based on MES, AI, Shopfloor Data
- Enabler for innovations and simultaneous implementation of concepts and activities from DevOps
- Further implementation of new IIOT Features / Concepts
Job Requirements
- Completed university degree (Master, Diploma, Bachelor) in Computer Engineering / General Computer Science, Automation/Engineering or comparable qualification and experience
- Several years of IT experience and sound knowledge of at least one programming language and common programming concepts, especially in the JAVA, C# .net, Python environment, as well as relational databases, especially MS SQL
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC, OPC UA, MQTT or similar) and concepts for connecting the store floor / automation level
- Experience and affinity for technology trends in the IIOT environment, edge computing as well as with message brokers and streaming platforms such as Kafka or similar
- Ideally experience with LoRaWa standards
- Experience and interest in IIOT, monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting would be helpful
- Experience in modern IT delivery processes (especially DevOps) and experience in agile requirements engineering (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
- You have very good English skills (spoken and written), German skills are an advantage
