To strengthen our HUB Engineering team in Pilsen and our Operational Excellence department in Germany, we are looking for a candidate for the position of: 

 

DIGITALIZATION MANAGER

 

Job Responsibilities
•    Support, standardization and further development of the Wacker Digital in Operations program, especially in the areas of digital process management, horizontal and vertical integration, paperless production and analytics
•    Coordination and implementation of new requirements for Wacker Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) with a focus on its central component, the Wacker Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as part of the "Digital Backbone for Production" (DBP) at Wacker 
•    Requirements analysis, cost-benefit analysis, budget application, project management to commissioning and training
•    Professional management of interdisciplinary project teams consisting of internal and external employees, also internationally
•    Initiation, management and participation in prototypes and digitization solutions as part of the Wacker Digital program
•    Responsible for projects in the environment of the cross-business and cross-divisional topic Wacker MOM with focus on DBP and MES with interfaces to production, purchasing, IT, EMR technology of the plants, PLT department, IT security, etc.
•    Support and further development of the topics of process data, time series analysis, key figures and Interface in the DBP environment with the contact partners from IT and productivity management
•    Further, active networking within the Group to promote digital solutions and sharing knowledge, facilitating collaboration across existing departmental boundaries and facilitate coordination processes

 

Job Requirements
•    Completed university degree in computer science, (business) engineering technology, electrical engineering, automation technology or natural sciences
•    Broad basic knowledge of digitization and information technology topics (e.g. data structures, data analytics, robotics, mobile applications)
•    Very good knowledge of automation technology and information technology in production (SAP, process control system, MES, data interfaces, network)
•    Knowledge of methods for improvement and change processes, experience in agile project management (e.g. Design Thinking, Scrum)
•    Project management, also with budget responsibility (SAP-PS)
•    Experience in the production and production planning environment (knowledge of chemical industry as an advantage)
•    Very good written and spoken English (German skills as an advantage)
•    Flexibility and mobility – willingness to travel occasionally to Burghausen 
•    International experience desirable
•    Analytical and strategic skills; strong goal and results orientation
•    Confident appearance; problem-solving skills and assertiveness
•    Ability to work in a team; high degree of initiative and strong communication skills
