Job Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintenance of industrial equipment, including conveying systems, pumps, mixers, kneaders, extruders, piping, electrical distribution and controls and other general site equipment.
- Maintain PM schedule and plan for maintenance work shutdown as necessary with production. Maintain stock for critical spare parts and order parts as necessary. Interface with outside agency and vendors for some site inspection and certification. Provide support for various audits.
- Troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning equipment, with a focus on electrical work.
- Work with procurement for new vendor setup as necessary.
- Participation in training, both as a trainer and a trainee, in techniques, equipment and safety. Participate in other activities as required such as facility repairs, construction, and shop clean-up.
Qualifications:
- Prefer Journeyman certification as electrician or similar certification.
- Must be a self-starter, be able to multi-task, and prioritize to meet operations needs.
- Will accept completion of an approved apprentice program or minimum 4 years industrial mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience.
- Ability to read, understand and correctly interpret technical specification and design documents and drawings.
- Ability to work in a team environment with all other mechanics acting as both a leader and a follower, as needed.
- Sound written and verbal skills to share and receive information with a variety of team members and external agents.
- Ability to work with power and hand tools, drive a fork truck or other industrial vehicle
- Must be able to push, pull and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in elevated areas and in confined spaces.
- Applicants must possess unrestricted US work authorization.
