Job Responsibilities:
- Work as project leader to prepare project design basis and scope (Front-End-Engineering) including technology selection, flow-sheets (PFD and P&ID), mass and energy balances, equipment dimension design (rotating equipment's, static equipment's, units, etc.), equipment specification, layouts
- Provide necessary input to prepare cost estimates and project schedules in support of project planning. Cost estimates and project schedules should be analyzed for accuracy, and completeness
- Execute and control design-engineering phase of projects, including process design calculations, equipment and material selection and detailed design of equipment with drawings for procurement, technical clarifications with other internal disciplines (e.g. CSA, E&I, piping, procurement) or external contractors
- Take leader from engineering side in project HAZOP study and Wacker Analysis reviews, provide necessary inputs
- Take leader to prepare and execute together with procurement team for project procurement strategy
- Manage project in the SAP for the project application, order requisition, expenditure control and etc.
- Communicate with experts for the technical issues and report to management in time.
- Provide technical support during start-up including "trouble-shooting"
- Search actively for opportunities to improve project performance during all phases
- Establish local know-how in the relevant discipline and share with other/new project members/teams from WACKER
- Response for the project document management and provide project as-built documentation with Wacker standard quality.
- Complete other tasks assigned by direct supervisor and management team
Educational background:
- Bachelor degree or above in chemical/process or mechanical engineering.
- Over 5 years working experience in chemical industry or engineering company (engineering for chemical companies/chemical plants).
- Over 2 years working experience as a project engineer/manager for capital investment projects in chemical industry.
Skills:
- Familiar with chemical unit operations, equipment and machinery used in chemical industry
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, official specifications, regulations and technical instructions
- Familiar with the principals and procedures of project engineering practices and project management
- Effective communication skills in English (oral and writing) are expected.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP would be helpful
- Strong and effective communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
- Strong spirit of teamwork
- Willingness to continuously build knowledge and broaden skills
