Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement procurement strategies for Direct Materials, Indirect Materials, and Import sourcing aligned with business objectives.

2. Lead commercial negotiations, long-term sourcing agreements, and contract management with domestic and international suppliers to achieve cost competitiveness and supply assurance.

3. Establish and maintain a robust supplier management framework, including vendor selection, qualification, performance evaluation, development, and rationalization.

4. Identify alternate sources, drive localization initiatives, and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure uninterrupted availability of materials and services.

5. Oversee end-to-end procurement operations including purchase planning, purchase order management, SAP master data governance, and supplier communication.

6. Manage import procurement activities, including coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely clearances and deliveries.

7. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, statutory regulations, audit requirements, import-export regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.

8. Drive cost optimization programs through strategic sourcing, value engineering, demand management, contract optimization, and process improvements.

9. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Business teams to align procurement activities with operational and business requirements.

10. Monitor market trends, commodity movements, currency fluctuations, and supply risks to develop proactive procurement strategies.

11. Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement and import teams to build capabilities, improve performance, and foster a high-performance culture.

12. Drive digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, systems, and reporting mechanisms.
