WACKER SILICONES is one of the world’s biggest silicone manufacturers with silicone-based system solutions and over 3,000 different products. At our Home Office site, we are currently looking for a ​Sales Manager​ to join our growing team.


Job Responsibilities


  • Manage and grow revenue and profitability for an assigned group of accounts and/or geography according to the Strategy of the Business Team.
  • A primary focus will include our fumed silica business along with other select markets. 
  • This involves executing the Wacker Sales process at existing and prospective buyers.
  • Key aspects are relationship management, prospecting, opportunity management with salesforce.com, forecasting, communication skills, consultative selling, versatility, and collecting/reporting market information.
  • Collaborative approach with internal stakeholders is essential.



  • Bachelor's degree is required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a related role/ relevant sales experience.
  • Ability to travel -- could be greater than 50% at times.
  • Hunter approach to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills at various levels within the customer's organization.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing work activities.
  • Consultative Selling skills - providing solutions and the ability to know when to involve cross functional and/or higher level Wacker resources.
  • Ability to negotiate independently, develop and maintain networks, manage accounts, and address basic regulatory and legal matters.
