WACKER SILICONES is one of the world’s biggest silicone manufacturers with silicone-based system solutions and over 3,000 different products. At our Home Office site, we are currently looking for a ​Sales Manager​ to join our growing team.

 

The Sales Manager is responsible for implementing the sales strategy and understanding our customer's needs to drive the regional strategic direction within the global framework to result in sustained growth and profitability (per required revenue and profitability targets) for our strategic market segments.  This is accomplished by developing, planning and executing strategic activities for the business.  The Western Region Sales Manager home office will be located in CA, WA, OR, AZ or TX.  Position is available due to pending retirement

 

 Job Responsibilities

  • Execute the regional sales and Marketing strategies for 4 market segments.  (Healthcare, Automotive, Energy, and General Silicone Rubber)
  • Hunt new Prospects/Opportunities and Farming existing customers to maximize sales and fill opportunity funnel.
  • Develop Strong relationships with customer base at all levels.
  • Close successfully new opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Utilize CRM system (Sales Force) to manage customer communication internally as well as externally
  • Manage Travel and Entertainment expenses within budget

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in Sales & Territory Management, Opportunity Exploration and Management
  • Proficient in Value Selling and Price Negotiations
  • Prior experience and knowledge of Silicone Rubber applications in targeted industries (Healthcare and Automotive) are preferred
  • strong analytical skills and have ability to lead/drive projects
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint is required
  • Experience with SAP and CRM software like Sales Force is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (Oral- Presentations, Written)
