At our site in Home Office, we are currently looking for a ​Distribution Manager​ to be a part of our growing team.



To manage the technical and commercial requirements in support of sustained profitable growth of our WACKER distribution channel sales. Support and implement Business Team strategies to Distributors, with, as business needs allow, focus on business opportunity activities on the targeted BT market segments.  These activities involve providing detailed technical support, setting commercial strategies, developing and conducting application, market and product line training, traveling on joint sales calls, handling customer complaints, and supporting development of new opportunities and business via distribution customers in US and Canada.  To provide support to Wacker Mexico Distribution Managers who manage technical and commercial support for our co-mingled distributor partners in Mexico.


Job Responsibilities


  • Provide technical and commercial support on a daily basis to distributor partners and their customers by:  conference calls, written and verbal communication, product recommendations, technical service, analyzing customer complaints, monthly business variances, and provide product, market and application training to all North American distributor organizations
  • Distribution "Champion" of WACKER Business Teams:  active participation in BT sales and marketing meetings; implement BT strategy to distribution and help our distributors set their goals based on this strategy
  • Manage the opportunities program with Distributor through setting target goals based on business team objectives; joint sales calls; conference calls (including technical calls); training and follow-up phone calls to sales reps and managers


Job Qualifications


  • Minimum 6 years relevant sales experience, BS in technical or business field.
  • 30-40% travel is required
  • Knowledge of silicone or polymer chemistry
  • Basic knowledge of WACKER markets, product offerings and associated application for relevant products is preferred
  • Sales, Marketing or customer support experience - customer relationships skills important
  • Presentation preparation, business analytical and business tool usage (excel, tableau, powerpoint, SAP) experience/acumen
  • Ability to multi-task and negotiate internally and externally
