At our Eddyville site, we are currently looking for a ​Plant Engineer​ to be a part of our growing team.



The position is responsible for compliance, maintenance, reliability and optimization of the plant assets in Eddyville, this scope will include the Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System assets.  This requires ownership of the EIC documentation and reliability systems intended to maintain the integrity of the safety and process functions served by those systems.  The role will also help to manage capital and maintenance related projects.  The role will be responsible for executing on Process Safety Management activities, including Process Hazard Analysis' and action items from those activities.


EIC system management:

  • Manage activities related to EIC reliability and mechanical integrity as described by OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management. 
  • Own reliability strategies relating to instrument performance, interlock verification
  • Maintain document library related to EIC assets
  • Provide cross-functional input during project reviews to ensure EIC standards and RAGAGEP are met
  • Manages lifecycle of EIC assets


Project management:  Perform duties of project manager on new or improvement projects:

  • Concept development and pre-basic engineering
  • Preparing project request documentation
  • Detailed engineering (may be management of contract engineering resource)
  • Planning for project execution
  • Managing field execution
  • Oversight of commissioning
  • Project closeout


EIC leadership:

  • Provide technical input on Work Order scoping
  • Provide insight to Maintenance I&E Tech
  • Provide cross-functional input during project reviews to ensure EIC standards and RAGAGEP are met


Safety Program Management:

  • Ownership of electrical safety program in coordination with EHS manager
  • Responsible for adherence to program
  • Trains employees at various roles on the program


Job Qualifications


  • Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical engineer degree but Chemical is preferred, with some experience in the chemical/food processing environment
  • EIC reliability system/program experience helpful.  Control programming experience a plus.  Allen Bradley and or ABB DCS experience a plus.
