At our Eddyville site, we are currently looking for a ​Fermentation Technician​ to be a part of our growing team.

 

 

The Fermentation Operator is responsible for safely monitoring the plant in the field and for all manual operations like packaging, sampling, minor maintenance, etc.

Technicians will manage cell cultures, cell banks, and fermentations for enzyme production as well as perform microbiological, in process, and finished goods QA analyses.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Exhibit safe work practices in the monitoring of plant equipment, according to existing plans. In-process sampling, reporting of unusual events, noises & vibrations to Supervisor. Key duty is housekeeping in the production areas, understanding the plant policies for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and all food-grade plant requirements must be maintained.
  • Receive deliverables such as dextrose, and process ingredients. Packaging of finished goods. Monitoring of the outside parts of the plant and reporting any findings to Supervisor.
  • Respond to emergencies. Maintain all online and in-plant training requirements.

 

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Good communication and verbal interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems and processes.
  • Must understand that Safety is a value; a pre-condition to everything that we do
