Responsibilites:
- Follows all Wacker safety rules and requirements at all times. Follow all DOT/TATA/IMDG and OSHA regulations at all times. Interprets company policies to team members and enforces safety policies and procedures.
- Schedules deliveries per customer due dates using company or customer preferred carriers. Coordinates effectively with all departments and arrange necessary paper work for domestic and export shipments to meet scheduled delivery date. Ensuring correct and necessary paper work are sent to the customer.
- Prepare shipments for shipping such as labeling of products, wrapping pallets, inspecting outgoing shipment packaging, ensuring correct package/pallet used for shipment, ensuring shipment includes all necessary products/samples for order, and loads trucks for deliveries.
- Unloads and inspect incoming deliveries. Coordinate with warehouse to ensure items are stored away in a timely manner.
- Train department team members on department workflow, related regulations and other department required skills.
- Assist in headcount planning and scheduling work hours for team members
- Recommends measures to improve work flow, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Maintain good housekeeping in department area.
- Other shipping & receiving duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years of related experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business
- Periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public.
- Ability to access and navigate basic MS Word, MS Excel. SAP or ERP System knowledge preferred.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
- Certificates or Licenses: Ability to drive forklift, DOT certification preferred but not required.
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Chino is $53,000.00-70,000.00. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc . Wacker is a multi state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
