SILMIX(R) CA Maintenance Intern

WACKER SILICONES is one of the world’s biggest silicone manufacturers with silicone-based system solutions and over 3,000 different products. At our Chino site, we are currently looking for a ​SILMIX(R) CA Maintenance Intern​ to join our growing team.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Project

• Create maintenance program with the following elements in SAP with Adrian Maintenance group assistance.
• Create Preventative maintenance of equipment calendar with staggered schedule to minimize disruption of production workflow
• Create document template and documentation system of preventative and unscheduled maintenance of equipment
• Create reporting system for equipment that needs repair or maintenance where status can be tracked by operations and maintenance personnel
• Create Critical Spare Part List with the following elements.
• Create Critical spare part list for each equipment, with pricing and turnaround time evaluation
• Rank criticality of parts based on production disruption cost
• Propose list of parts and quantity of parts that should be stocked based on above criteria

Secondary Project

• Create template(s) for checklist and other applicable process in Parsable
• Create rollout and training plan for template(s) created

Job Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering major or equivalent preferred.
• Great with general computer software skills
• Organized and great in communication
• Spanish Speaking a plus
• Must be able to work in the US without current or long term visa support
