WACKER POLYSILICON is the global leader in the production of polycrystalline hyperpure silicon for the semiconductor and solar solar industries.
At our Charleston site, we are currently looking for a(n) Summer Intern - HR to be a part of our growing team.



Wacker is currently seeking one ambitious paid summer intern for our 8-week program, commencing the beginning of June and concludes the end of July. The HR Intern will be asked to perform several projects consisting of executing a wellness fair, providing mental health training for people leaders, create a walking or running site map as well as creating a digital exit process. Under the direction of the Senior HR Manager / Business Partner. You’ll  be involved in all aspects of several important HR projects & with your input, hard work, and fresh perspective, you’ll play an instrumental role in helping enhance the HR tools/support we provide inside of our facility. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute onsite wellness fair to provide resources for Mental, Physical and Financial wellness
  • Work with the Employment Assistance Program provider support leaders with training for recognizing and responding to team members mental health needs as it relates to anxiety, depression, stress, etc.
  • Work with our Environmental, Health and Safety team and update the site walk/run trails map
  • Develop reporting tool and digitalized process for improving capture of team member notice through exit interview and survey information and data analytics


Job Qualitifications:

  • Must be a rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior student enrolled in a university in any of the following majors:  Human Resources, Psychology, or related degree
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA
