we are looking for you as a(n) Sr. Technical Manager - Analytics.

We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Technical Manager II – Analytics for our site in Charleston, TN.

 

What you will do:

The Technical Manager II – Analytics will be responsible to lead and organize analytical processes for the competitive characterization of polysilicon, chlorosilanes and all other relevant media to produce hyper-pure polysilicon. This position will consist of leadership of the three (3) lab areas (Physical, Chemical, and Online Analytics) for characterization of impurities in and on polysilicon, as well as the General Analytics lab, which provide services for TCS analyses as well as the environmental monitoring of the Charleston site.

 

  • Leadership responsibility for Managers and Supervisors for the Chemical Analytics (CA), General Analytics (GA), Physical Analytics PA), and Online Analytics (OLA) Teams according to company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Site Maintenance and Engineering to ensure the Analytics Building and Assets are maintained to optimal levels (HVAC Systems, Instrumentation, and other related assets). 
  • Continuous alignment of analytical processes between all sites (3) via collaboration with Global Analytics Leadership.
  • Verification and validation of timely analytics data to support both internal customers as well as finished goods test data for external customers. 
  • Create and implement capital projects for Analytics as necessary. Manage budget for applicable cost centers within Analytics. Provide hands on Safety and Quality guidance and training to teams.

 

 

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Analytics, Physics or related technical degree is required.  Master's and/or PhD is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 or more years of of relevant technical supervisory experience
  • Leadership experience in a technical or laboratory environment is required.  Polysilicon, Semiconductor, or Chlorosilanes experience is preferred. 
  • Fundamental knowledge of ultra-trace analytical requirements and state-of-the-art analytical instruments (single digit ppt requirements are common)
  • Proficient in computer and database skills
  • Must have proven team building skills with the ability to positively motivate. 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • General knowledge related to Building Maintenance and highly technical HVAC Systems are required.
  • Experience to be seen as the subject matter expert in their field of analytics.
  • Experience with budgetary and planning oversight in an operation.
  • Ability to regularly mentor technical managers.
