We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician at the site in Eddyville, IA.
What you will do:
The Sr. Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring machinery and equipment are in good operating order to satisfy production targets and quality requirements.
The position necessitates a complete awareness of best maintenance practices, troubleshooting abilities, and knowledge of food and pharmaceutical grade plant standards. This includes using basic tools such as Ultrasonics and bore scoping. This position requires working with proper greases and lubricants, both food grade and non-food grade. This person may report to the Maintenance Planner and is able to fill that position as needed.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on plant equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment, such as conveyors, pumps, and packaging machines.
- Follow a regular maintenance schedule to ensure compliance with regulations and maintenance standards for food and pharma grade plants.
- Work with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation of the plant.
- Document and maintain records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and any issues encountered during the maintenance process.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and GMP guidelines.
- Coordinate with outside contractors as necessary to ensure that maintenance and repair work is completed on time and to the required standards.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.; Vocational training in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
- 5 years of experience working as a Maintenance Technician in a food or pharma grade plant.
- Ability to travel up to 5%.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for food and pharma grade plants, including FDA and cGMP guidelines.
- Familiarity with maintenance software and computer programs to record and track maintenance activities.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge and experience rebuilding pumps, motors and centrifuges
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed, as well as be available for infrequent call-ins.
- Organized and able to be a self-starter to complete tasks in a given window
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds.
