We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager-Silanes for our site in Charleston, TN.
What you will do:
The Sr. Engineering Manager-Silanes is responsible to supervise, develop, and mentor the group of 16-20 engineers allocated to the Silanes area; provide the necessary technical support for all production units within the Silanes area (CS-Reaction, HCl--Generation & Scrubber, Tank Farm & Distillation, Conversion & HCl-Recovery); initiate continuous improvement, debottlenecking, repair, and overhaul projects; and manage related investment and technical expense budgets.
- Develop, supervise, and coach team members
- Provide technical support and engineering services to operations and service units as necessary to provide for safe operations and assure regulatory compliance, availability, and performance of production units
- Develop engineering group/organization and related guidelines and procedures including specifications, standards and codes; ensure compliance within Silanes group
- Drive and support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality and cost
- Manage engineering cost centers, capital investment and technical expense budgets
What we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering is required; Master’s degree is preferred
- 10 + years of combined professional experience in the field of plant engineering & maintenance, project engineering, project management and budget management including 5+ years in plant engineering & maintenance. 5+ years of leadership and team management experience
- Engineering Experience in a plant engineering environment
- Experience in a Process Safety Management (PSM) environment
- Experience managing a group of Plant Engineers
- Experience developing work processes, engineering standards and procedures
- Lean or Sigma trained, and demonstrated application of principles
- PHA/HAZOP experience, including revalidation efforts
