Job Responsibilities

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Engineering Processes & Services and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the technical materials (SAP ERSA type) and administering the development and revision process for internally published standards, forms & procedures for Engineering and Maintenance groups for the US Region.

  • Subject matter expert for SAP Technical Spare Parts (ERSA Material type) in the US Region establishing and advocating best practices.  Collaborate with regional site stakeholders in engineering and maintenance and WACKER Group resources.   Train and support users of ERSA MAF tool.   Develop new and improve existing business processes to facilitate improved management, and utilization of technical spare parts
  • Maintain & coordinate changes to SAP master data relevant to Technical Materials for the US Region.    
  • Resolve inventory issues with engineering, maintenance, logistics, and controlling stakeholders as relevant.
  • Provide support to sites’ ERSA Material Coordinators (plant engineering team) as requested for managing over $50M in inventory).
  • Coordinate the development, documentation, and revision of internally published engineering and maintenance standards documents (including procedures, work instructions, forms, and guides). For business work processes, this position may author the standards.
    • Create, review and revise Engineering or Maintenance standards in coordination with technical document owners.
    • Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional multi-site standards & reviews with stakeholders.
    • Organize and coordinate the routing of internally published documents throughout the process from conceptualization/revision, approval, distribution, and internal publication.
    • Manage the document control system to maintain ISO 9001 compliance – ensuring proper version control and document property assignment
  • Analyze existing work instructions, processes, procedures, records, and policies to identify gaps/outdated information and implement solutions to make documentation more efficient.  Interview and shadow subject matter experts in various groups to capture “tribal knowledge” and generate/update documentation as required.



  • Minimum Associates degree in business, engineering, logistics or other technical or equivalent field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience providing support to engineering, maintenance, logistics or similar environments required.
  • Requires high level of proficiency with SAP or other Inventory Management software
  • Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Experience in a chemical or manufacturing plant environment with inventory management preferred.
  • Candidate must be familiar with Standards & Regulations such as ISO 9001 as they apply to documentation & revision control.
  • Detail oriented in document review, assessment, development and application of appropriate metadata to the documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and able to work independently as well as part of a team and in a matrix environment.
  • Work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment while staying focused.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and troubleshoot. 
  • Effective planning and time management is vital to this role.
  • Strong interpersonal, written & verbal communication, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and comfortable with asking questions
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to self-teach and seek out other resources to create solutions in undefined areas
  • Trustworthy to maintain integrity of confidential data and information regarding intellectual property information.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Standard as applicable to documentation and revision control is preferred.
