
The Security Access Control Support Specialist position will ensure security objectives of the Wacker Charleston site are aligned with Wacker Directives, site security protocols, and other requirements. In addition, the role will coordinate the site’s access control and key control system during their working shift.
Job Responsibilities
- Abide by and enforce Security and Access Control Plan.
- Operate the Emergency Dispatch Office/ coordinate with emergency services.
- Administer the access control system during their assigned shift to include; Request/apply necessary access profiles for individuals according to Security and access control plan. Process notifications of new employees and preplanned visits. Check Identity and limit access for visitors. Compare Active Rosters from contractors to ACS (Access Control System).
- Perform other assigned to support Site Security and Operations
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of the facility.
- Process requests and issue vehicle permits.
- Administer the site key control program during their assigned shift; Actively issue and retrieve keys to authorized Team Members. Maintain the automated key control inventory database
Job Requirements
- GED or High school Diploma is required
- Meet State of TN background requirements for an unarmed security guard
- 2 years’ experience in a security related role
- Law Enforcement or Military experience is preferred
- Ability to obtain full working knowledge of Start Frame Access Control Software within 3 months
- Basic knowledge of excel and ability to manipulate a database
- Knowledge of private security practices
- Capable to work and act in an emergency
- Communication between interdepartmental, internal and external personnel
- Ability to conduct foot and vehicle patrols
- Ability to properly communicate using radio and phones during an emergency
