We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer for our site in Charleston, TN.

 

What you will do:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for quality assurance of the hyper pure Polysilicon manufacturing process for the solar and semiconductor industries at the Charleston, TN plant. This role is part of the local and global quality team focused on leading and promoting a world class quality mindset and capability within the organization.

 

  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to proactively respond to quality deviations and drive effective root cause investigations through resolution.
  • Support the business by ensuring customer complaints are addressed effectively and efficiently as well as providing support to or leading internal and/or supplier audits.
  • Champion the cultivation and strengthening of a world class quality culture through effective execution, facilitation, and reviews employing appropriate tools (e.g. FMEA, RCA, MSA, SPC, Audits, etc.) to drive continuous improvement or to respond to deviations in quality
  • Provide efficient analysis and reporting on quality metrics and trends as well as identify and develop additional capabilities to enhance and improve the overall process, product, or system quality.
  • Conduct or assist in the resolution of internal or external customer complaints through effective and efficient root cause analysis and associated corrective and/or preventative activities
  • Conduct or assist with any internal or external audits. Identify any gaps and ensure corrective actions are implemented and validate the effectiveness.

 

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (i.e., chemical, industrial, mechanical, etc.)   
  • 4+ years in manufacturing environment using quality tools, concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience working within the ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and associated processes.
  • Experience working with IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems is a plus.
  • Effective skills in problem solving, critical thinking, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong and effective teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.  
  • Proficiency in data and statistical analysis to enable data-based decisions.
  • Naturally inquisitive mentality to challenge the status quo with the ability to rapidly learn, adapt, and apply the knowledge and skills.
  • Persistent nature to successfully drive resolution of topics and projects efficiently.
