We are currently seeking a Process Innovation and Technology Project Engineer for our Crushing department at our site in Charleston, TN.
What you will do:
The Process Innovation and Technology Project Engineer will work with both the global support team and local department to develop, assess, secure, commission, and refine innovative solutions and manufacturing technologies. This role will have a special focus on increasing the degree of factory automation in our processes and will have leadership with innovation and investment projects related to the Polysilicon crushing process.
- Conduct research and investigations of new equipment and technology related to Crushing automation solutions
- Perform proof-of concept evaluations as relevant with new technologies
- Project Management leadership with scope from assisting with technical procurement through deployment and commissioning of new solutions
- Build and maintain a global network related to crushing and automation technology.
What we need from you:
- B.S. in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline is required; M.S. or Ph.D. in a technical engineering discipline is preferred
- 10+ years of related experience is preferred, with considerations given to the education and relevant experience
- Project management (PMP or equivalent experience) is desired
- Ability to travel as needed, potentially up to 40% including internationally
- Demonstrated strong technical engineering skills with the capability to take ownership and effectively lead investigation and innovation projects to successful completion in an efficient manner.
- Perform pre- and basic engineering of projects developing new equipment or prototypes, automation testing and introduction, to proof-of-concept development and testing with a transition to production.
- Skilled in Mechanical Engineering and related technologies, in relation to development of new machinery and automation.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills necessary to successfully work within the global and local matrix organization, various departments, and with external partners.
- Inquisitive and innovative type personality willing to independently research and learn topics beyond their current experience in support of current or potential projects.
- Knowledge or experience within the hyper-pure polysilicon production process, semiconductor manufacturing, or other high product quality standard industry is highly desired
- Demonstrated project management capabilities are essential for this role
