WACKER POLYSILICON is the global leader in the production of polycrystalline hyperpure silicon for the semiconductor and solar solar industries. At our Charleston site, we are currently looking for a(n) Planner/Scheduler to join our growing team.

 

The Planner/Scheduler will report to the Manager, Supply Network Planning, Logistics & Scheduling - HDK. This position will be responsible to serve as a deputy and assist in the development and implementation of production schedules to support company production and maximize customer order service level at the lowest cost. The Planner/Scheduler position is responsible for scheduling, planning, and confirming orders while managing inventory levels to meet existing orders and/or forecasts. This position will collaborate with Customer Service Representative (CSR), Supply Chain (SC) and the Business Team (BT) to improve communication and maximize the available inventories to meet the customer’s needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Production planning of Charleston produced materials to meet forecasted captive and merchant demand. Using the Planning board and Process Orders
  • Places Purchase Orders with External HDK® Producing Plants
  • Perform the Goods Receipt (GR) on inbound Purchase orders and maintain Inventory
  • Confirm and create Deliveries of Sales order to dispatch supply to customers
  • <span 72="">Manage communication with the Inbound logistics and Customs Group for updates and proper delivery of incoming materials
  • Other assigned duties as necessary in the planning & logistics organization

 

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business preferred
  • 3 years relevant experience 
  • Strong knowledge and work experience with MRP/ERP systems, experience in SAP is preferred
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to groups and to individuals
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Self-dependent and able to handle exception management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Occasional travel as required; offsite warehouses, training seminars and conferences
