We are currently seeking an Operations Manager, CSR (Chlorosilanes Reaction) for our site in Charleston, TN.

 

What you will do:

The Operations Manager, CSR position is necessary in order to coordinate production in the management area of Chlorosilanes Reaction (CSR) production taking into account the required production amount, productivity, quality assurance, cost control, environmental protection, safety, order and cleanliness.

 

Managerial Duties

  • Planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating processes in the area of responsibility with the goal of continual improvement (quality, safety, environmental protection, productivity, costs                           
  • Managing a Team of direct reports (4 Leads, 3 Technical specialist, Day shift supervisor and a Trainer) including Time management and qualification measures for team members within CSR Operations
  • Cost control over Operating supplies
  • Oversee Team Members scheduling (for example offsetting absences for vacation, illness, shutdowns, maintaining minimal operating personnel)
  • Oversee testing, training, documentation, and communications
  • Oversee and ensure that production systems and related processes meet changing business needs
  • Responsible for RCRA program oversight, manifest completion, and records administration.
  • Ensure all required trainings are timely made by all team members in his/her area of responsibility.

 

Specialized Duties

  • Communicating work and production requirements under changing premises                                                                              
  • Coordinating production volumes with down and upstream departments
  • Assuring proper disposal of recyclables and waste
  • Monitoring and supervising installations; troubleshooting or organizing troubleshooting; coordinating of such with affiliated companies
  • Preparing and supervising routine repairs and maintenance work including major shutdowns; coordination with Engineering; managing inspections and making the installations available for inspections
  • Instigating procurement and monitoring of volume and quality of auxiliary supplies required in the area
  • New installations and process changes: applying operating knowledge to planning and execution; plant safety instructions for construction workers; checks prior to start-up; start-up; initiation to permanent operation

 

What we need from you:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in a technical field is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a chemical industry or manufactory environment
  • High awareness of quality, safety, and environment protection
  • Chemical production: process and installation technology, chemical processes and methodology, process control technique
  • Organization, management, and communication: Team Members management and development, operations cost accounting, responsibility for the plant, quality management, information, and communication
  • Areas of specialization: automation technology and process control technology, operations controlling
