To strengthen our team in Charleston,
we are looking for you as a(n) Logistics Operator.

 

This position reports to the Logistics Warehouse Supervisor at the Wacker Polysilicon plant located in Charleston, TN. The Logistics Operator is responsible for operations within the warehouse and must be able to perform all duties required of warehouse operators, with and without multiple types of powered industrial tricks (PIT).

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Receiving all types of incoming goods and booking in the appropriate Logistics computer systems
  • Loading and unloading of trucks with powered and non-powered industrial trucks
  • Verification of quantities, proper identification, and quality of incoming goods
  • Operations within the Logistics area of responsibility with and without multiple types of powered industrial trucks
  • Picking and staging materials from all areas serviced by the Logistics Department as required by the customer order.
  • Packaging, staging and shipment of materials to customers.
  • Delivery and movement of materials to required locations within the logistics area of responsibility.
  • Safe and efficient operation of all PIT used in the Logistics Department
  • Responsible for RCRA handling of waste materials during site transportation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • High School diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred
  • Two (2) years of operational experience in a warehouse and shipping environment; 4+ years of warehouse and shipping experience preferred. 
  • Inventory control and international shipping experience is preferred.
  • Must have an advanced understanding of warehouse processes with a good eye for detail and paperwork and strong analytical skills.
  • Must have the ability to operate a car, van, spotting tractor, box truck and powered industrial truck licenses required.
  • Basic Computer skills (Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel/Power Point) and knowledge of warehouse management systems required; Advanced computer skills and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
