What you will do:
The Logistics Clerk will be responsible to coordinate and execute all SAP activities required by the Logistics Department. These duties will include, but are not limited to, reviewing and distributing reservation request, delivery schedules, conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates, and compiling reports on progress of activities, inventory levels, costs, and work problems. In addition, this position will report to a Logistics Supervisor and must show a demonstrated ability to independently plan and perform their work duties.
- Perform and complete all advanced SAP functions including but not limited to block lists, 9GR, transfer issues, etc. by identifying, researching, cooperating, communicating, and finding resolutions with other areas of responsibility. Partner with Wacker personnel, vendors, and/or customers to coordinate SAP activities and to resolve complaints, issues
- and/or eliminate delays
- Be an efficient backup for all clerical functions in this area
- Read and interpret documents such as receivers, Bill of Ladings, invoices, operating instructions, and procedure manuals to accomplish tasks
- Execute demand monitor activities and be able to resolve issues, relay information to operators and Logistics customers as required. Take all required steps involved with the identification and correction of issues relating to all Logistics activities
- Ensure that all inbound/outbound and return materials are properly identified, verified, and posted in SAP. Arrange delivery and distribution of supplies/parts to expedite flow of materials and meet schedule requirements.
- Perform all activities related to the receipt and posting of Raw Materials. Coordinate and conduct cycle counts including researching, resolving, and correcting any issues identified through the cycle counting program.
- Prepare/perform/coordinate all Logistics activities required in the annual physical inventory process
- Develop and create PODs for the department by understanding department processes
- Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work process to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Any other duties as assigned
What we need from you:
- GED or High School diploma required; Associates Degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of data entry or clerical experience in a warehouse and shipping environment.
- 5 years of warehouse, inventory control, and domestic/international shipping experience with a demonstrated ability to plan and perform their duties independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have demonstrated strong SAP, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal). Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, establish priorities, and able to efficiently operate in a stressful work environment requiring detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, operational methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Advanced SAP and Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel/Power Point computer skills required.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of materials, processes, quality control, cost and other techniques to maximize the effective receipt, storage, and distribution of all materials.
