we are looking for you as a(n) Engineer III/Senior - Process Digitalization and Innovation.

We are currently seeking a Process Digitalization and Innovation Engineer to join our team in Charleston, TN.

 

What you will do:

The Process Digitalization and Innovation Engineer is the core process innovation team member to independently identify, initiate, and manage digital based projects locally and in partnership with the global polysilicon digital/automation initiatives. This will provide a local expert for ensuring a rapid transfer of global capabilities integrated with local specialist knowledge to troubleshoot and quickly optimize to meet the needs of the department and/or site given the highly complex integrated systems and processes. This position will also function as the local subject matter expert regarding digital solutions with topics to improve the production process ranging from ensuring technical system capability and data integrity to leading the advancement and integration of cutting-edge analysis skills throughout the organization to support a world-class solar and semiconductor polysilicon manufacturing site.

 

  • Shape, define, and drive the CHA digital solution environment with digital/automation project execution and oversight.
  • Independently identify, investigate, evaluate, and provide potential advanced technological solution opportunities for improvements to the organization for implementation assessment.
  • Provide expert evaluations, guidance, and oversight to the organization and by leading the successful execution and implementation of the digital/automation technological projects, including appropriate digital elements and resources.
  • Provide expert insight and guidance to the organization for advancing and delivering world-class data quality, availability, and accessibility as well as coaching the teams on improving the effectiveness and capability of complex data analysis to efficiently drive process improvements or resolve process deviations.
  • Develop and lead a training program to ensure the organization achieves and maintains a superior level of knowledge and know-how with current or future digital tools and analysis capability.

 

What we need from you:

  • B.S. in a technical engineering or related scientific discipline
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in a technical engineering or related scientific discipline is preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience with B.S., 8+ with M.S., 6+ with Ph.D.
  • Demonstrated strong capability to independently identify challenges within a fast paced and complex chemical manufacturing environment, take ownership, and lead topics to a successful resolution in an efficient manner.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills necessary to successfully work within the global and local matrix organization and various departments.
  • Excellent skill capability with multiple database access and digital systems, tools, and data analysis programs (e.g. SQL, Tableau, SAP, SEEQ, Alteryx, etc.)
  • Experience using databases, data analytics, feedback and control, data acquisition to identify and improve or solve complex manufacturing challenges
  • Knowledge or experience within the hyper-pure polysilicon production process or semiconductor manufacturing is highly desired
  • Experience working with various technical disciplines is highly desired
  • German language skills (spoken and written) are a bonus
  • Travel: As needed with potential up to 10%, primarily to Germany
