
The Director, Human Resources Business Partner will work in conjunction with the leadership team and team members within the Corporate functions to support their activities. Translating business strategy into HR strategy, plans and solutions. The role will partner with the Corporate leaders and HR COEs to hire, engage, and develop talent to build the organizational capabilities required for short and long-term success. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience building HR teams and driving HR operational excellence in a multifaceted and regulated business. This is a highly visible position and will work directly with the leadership for the various corporate divisions.
The incumbent will work as a business partner for the Corporate functions and support Division S and Division B on a interim basis to foster a climate of positive employee relations and act as their primary human resource contact.
- Work as a Business Partner with the Corporate leadership team and ensure active participation in the human resource decisions and strategy of the corporate functions. Assists in the continued profitable growth of Wacker by participating in the planning process for the organization and works closely with peers to ensure strategies and policies are aligned and consistently applied.
- Work collaboratively with the HR COEs and Corporate leaders to identify and implement the best strategies, processes and services for the following key areas: talent acquisition, talent management, leadership development, employee relations, rewards and recognition, change management and operational excellence.
- Actively coach and provide guidance to managers and team members within the organization. Build and drive a culture of employee engagement to improve business performance and efficiency.
- Promote positive work environment through compliance with Wacker standards and ensuring fair and consistent administration of policies and practices and ensure compliance with federal and state legislation.
- Work collaboratively to implement organizational change initiatives through planning and execution and supporting safety initiatives throughout the functions. Ability to collaborate, influence leaders and use the network, strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to understand business context and leverage relevant data, interpret what the data means and what story it tells. Applies human resources expertise and business insight to lead critical projects and/or relationships.
- Manage, develop and mentor other employees in the human resource function and provide direct supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of Human Resource generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification(s) preferred
- Experience supporting multiple locations
- Ability to handle multiple complex projects in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Demonstrated success building relationships and influence thinking within an organization and effectively drive consensus on complex issues
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Thorough understanding of US and State Human Resource legislation practices
- Strong credibility and professional competence with management team and operations management
- Strong system knowledge preferably in SAP SuccessFactors
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
