The CoRe Technician (Refrigeration/HVAC) ensures safe, compliant, and efficient refrigeration systems through preventative inspections, corrective mechanical work, monitoring process parameters, and managing operating fluids. The CoReTechnician will be the on-site technical resource for the process refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor process refrigeration system and process parameters
- Maintain basic refrigerant mechanical work (PSVs, Valves, etc.)
- Complete inspection walkdowns in order to log the process parameters and observations
- Manage the operating fluids (ex. compressor oils), refrigeration system leak testing, housekeeping of compressor & refrigeration room
- Assist operations with the startup activities or upset response
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Experience with starting, tuning, and troubleshooting HVAC and Industrial Complex and/or Cascade Refrigeration Systems
- Experience with maintaining industrial refrigeration system components such as heat exchangers, economizers, electric motors, VFDs, screw and turbocentrifugal compressors, and air purge units
- Reading and interpreting data from a computerized HVAC/energy management system, charts, gauges, dials and thermostats
- Knowledge of 40 CFR Part 82 and experience maintaining records as required by the code
- Experience with reading and comprehending mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics
- 5+ years of trade-related work experience and/or Journeyman License
- EPA 608 Universal certification required
- Experience and/or training servicing Frick and York refrigeration systems and compressors
