At our Charleston site, we are currently looking for a ​Construction Project Manager-Central Infrastructure​ to be a part of our growing team.

 

 

This position in Central Infrastructure provides general civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) support and engineering to operations and other service units in order to assure safe operations and regulatory compliance.  Execution of small size CSA projects, field presence as required and support of maintenance activities are vital to the role. A strong focus of this position is also the refinement of the CSA related maintenance program for plant assets.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure safe operating conditions and regulatory compliance of technical plants, buildings, and utility/infrastructure facilities.
  • Support the availability of infrastructure facilities, undergrounds, utility network systems, water and wastewater treatment units at required capacity and quality.
  • Plan and execute small size investment projects. Consult and support capital projects executed by plant and project engineering.   
  • Provide general CSA support for building access, ladders, platforms, and roofs.
  • Maintain roads, signage, and property perimeter installation.
  • Responsible for the utility supply concept of the site via pipe racks or underground piping. Initiate maintenance of pipe racks and coordinate the pipe installation in the pipe racks.
  • Assure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, statutes, and codes, in particular with OSHA's Process Safety Management (PSM) including Mechanical Integrity and Management of Change.
  • Support the maintenance team in planning and execution of CSA related ITPMs and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Keep asset data and documentation up to date by using enterprise asset management and plant engineering systems.
  • Become an expert capable of exercising engineering judgment with respect to the area of responsibility and assigned subject matter expert functions.
  • Develop and support development of specifications and standards. 
  • Conduct or coordinate debottlenecking and troubleshooting activities.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, and cost.
  • Cooperate with groups and individuals within the Engineering and Maintenance teams, within Operations, and within other service units with focus on achieving optimal results and solutions from a corporate enterprise perspective. 
  • Responsible for RCRA generation as relating to container and labeling usage, maintenance and storage functions, and regular inspections of RCRA applicable areas.

Job Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture with 5Y+ of experience.
  • Thorough technical knowledge in the field of civil engineering or architecture.
  • Familiarity of relevant regulations, standards, and codes to effectively manage CSA aspects of the plant and to apply efficient and innovative solutions to technical and organizational challenges.
  • Objective judgment and fact-based decision-making approach.
  • Strong multitasking competency. 
  • Must be physically fit to wear an air purifying respirator if necessary.
  • Able to climb ladders or stairs and work at elevated heights up to 200+ feet.
  • Ability to perform and succeed in an environment of schedule and cost pressure.
