We are currently seeking a Buyer/Procurement Agent for our team in Charleston, TN or Ann Arbor MI.
What you will do:
This position is responsible for the tactical and operational purchasing functions for the goods and services purchased within the procurement team across all WACKER US sites. This role will support the Operational Procurement with RFQ/RFI's, orders placement and confirmation, follow up on past due orders and all other procurement duties as needed. This person is responsible for the protection of the Company's assets by procuring materials & services in an ethical manner that meets WACKER'S strategic goals and provides the greatest overall monetary value to the supply chains. This person will help to promote procurement practices and facilitate the continuous improvement of partnerships between its internal customers and WACKER's suppliers to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.
Duties include by are not limited to:
- Create and issue purchase orders as needed for all goods and services for the US plants.
- Create and administer RFQ/RFI's as needed for all goods and services.
- Analyze and compare supplier quotations.
- Create and administer Ariba sourcing/approvals as needed.
- Create and provide SAP and other reports to management as needed.
- SAP data maintenance and management.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Preferred 2+ years of consistent work experience in Procurement in a large global/multicultural company within the Chemical and Manufacturing Industries with proven successful job performance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with SAP/Ariba, e-auction tools, and other e-tools for procurement reporting, efficiency
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
