
This position, reporting to the Senior Director of Tax, will focus on Federal and State income tax compliance and planning for the five U.S. legal entities that make up the Wacker tax group. Responsible for tax provision (IFRS) reporting into German parent company, as well as primary contact with external auditors and tax advisors for tax provision review and tax return preparation and review. Also, primary contact for federal audit issues, while supervising tax staff of two who will assist with direct and indirect tax compliance, provision, and audit support. Assist Director with other special projects as needed. Manages co-sourcing of tax compliance with external service provider.

Position Qualifications
- Bachelor in Accounting required, Masters of Tax preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant corporate tax experience
- CPA preferred
- Knowledge of federal tax concepts including consolidations, R&D credits, Unicap, Interest expense limits, etc
- Tax Accounting principles incl. deferred taxes, valuation allowances, rate reconciliations
- Tax audit management, including interfacing with IRS and state authorities
- Comfortable with MS Office tools, strong Excel skills, tax research tools, and AI tools
- Management of tax staff and good team building / communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams
- Management of external tax consultants
