The Performance Excellence team will be the key enabler for the U.S. region operations and functional business units to improve team members business improvement capabilities through world-class training offerings, mentoring and leading initiatives that offer sustainable solutions that positively impact safety, quality, productivity, communications, costs and customer focus while educating, informing, promoting, and embedding a culture of continuous business improvement.
Our team is enhancing team member capability and value creation service offerings to help grow our people and business. We are seeking a Lean Six Sigma professional who is passionate about culture change.
This position will have the opportunity to partner with operations and transactional area teams within the U.S., including our new regional innovation center & HQ to live the PeX Vision.
- Policy deployment strategic & daily management across entire value-stream
- Leading & coaching projects and kaizens (regional enterprise and locally scoped) at all organizational levels
- Classroom & virtual training lead
- Mentoring Lean Six Sigma candidates
- Provide ad-hoc tools and techniques advice
- Enhance current and design new class offerings
The position requires passion for safety & people, proficient PDCA & DMAIC milestone project management experience, effective & compassionate communication abilities at all levels, basic financial knowledge, coaching skills and working on diverse projects.
This key business improvement role will be a catalyst for cultural change across the value-stream to enable new and year-over-year value creation. Strong engagement, collaboration and execution abilities are critical to deploying a sustainable Performance Excellence initiative. Internal relationship building is equally important as technical aptitude.
Essential Functions:
- Lead regional & local projects and kaizens
- Mentor Lean Six Sigma candidates
- Facilitate regional training
- Six Sigma Yellow, Green, Black Belt & Refresher training
- Lean training
- Ad-hoc team support tools & techniques training
- Develop and continuously improve training materials
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, or relate technical or manufacturing field
- 4-5 years as a Black Belt practitioner with Lean operations (both certifications preferred)
- 10 years in manufacturing environment, preferably chemical processing
- 2-3 years' experience with functional area process continuous improvement
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
- Travel up to 25%
- Ability to partner at all levels of the organization
- "Go to Gemba" mentality to educate, inform and promote change at all levels in the organization
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically aligned to the vision
- Ability to analyze complex & diverse processes and communicate practical & sustainable solutions
- Ability to financially quantify transactional and operational hard and soft value creation improvements
- SAP experience preferred but not required
