Job Responsibilities:

Responsible to conceive, plan and conduct projects and experiments in an application laboratory supporting the Personal Care market.
Independently works on topics that considerably drive advancements leading to the implementation of a new, sustainable raw material platform.
Expert consultant to the technical team for a broad set of applications (skin, sun, and/or hair care, color cosmetics).
Carries out innovative assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures that have significant business impact.
Develops and evaluates plans and criteria taken over by development partners such as universities and/or third-party manufacturers.
Accurately records, analyzes, and reports experimental data.
Installation and implementation of new test equipment.
Collaborates with internal partners to translate market needs into future project requirements.
Contributes to all aspects of an advanced laboratory setting, with emphasis on EHS excellence.
Communicates with internal stakeholders, both regionally and globally, to support and advance developments.
Literature and patent search, as well as market search together with business development.
Collaborates in international project teams and regularly mentors other technical colleagues.

Job Qualification:

Postgraduate degree (preferred) or bachelor’s degree with sufficient experience in Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related scientific discipline.
9 years minimum combined experience including formulation work, performance testing, R&D in Personal Care.
Demonstrated capability to complete all phases of technical work independently.
Expert knowledge of materials, technologies, methods, regulations, and trends relevant for cosmetic products.
Knowledge in the field of sustainable, renewable raw materials preferred.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Must be able to work effectively and independently.
Strong motivation to support and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a global setting.
Demonstrated mentoring skills in the technological field of expertise.
