Position Responsibilities Technical Rotational Expectations):
At WACKER, we are dedicated to nurturing diverse early career talent through our rotational LEAD (Lead, Engage, Accelerate, Develop) Program. This program provides opportunities to gain experience across multiple departments and roles, fostering leadership skills, business knowledge, and a deep understanding of our products and services.
The Technical LEAD program will allow candidates to complete a 2-year rotational assignment within a various laboratory in the Silicones Division and locations. The assignments will be based in the Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, along with potential assignments/visits to WACKER’s Adrian, Michigan R&D, as well as other possible or Silicones facilities in Canton, Ohio, Chino, California, or Charleston, Tennessee. Training and sponsors will be provided for program participants.
Geographic flexibility is required during this program and upon completion of this program.
Position Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science.
- Interest in working in technical laboratories, R&D facilities, or in process chemistry labs for manufacturing Leadership experience in student organizations or other team activities is desirable.
- Soft skills (communications, analytical skills etc)
- Computer/Technical skills (MS Suite, SAP..etc)
- Schedule requirements (Hybrid schedule, rotational requirements- open to relocation etc)
Additional Requirements:
- Provide own housing and transportation at home site- if placed in another location (outside of the home site) housing will be provided
- Complete and pass WACKER pre-employment screens (physical, background check, drug screen)
- Authorization to work in the U.S on a full-time permanent basis without restriction
- GPA minimum requirement: 2.75
