
Job Responsibilities
- Scientist role is responsible to develop, analyze and test new silicone-based materials and formulations. This role contributes to interdisciplinary R&D projects within a team environment.
- Scientist will advance state of the art silicone-based materials and formulations.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary R&D projects within a team environment for various market segments including e-mobility, automotive, health care, consumer care, electronics, industrial, etc.
- Accurately records, analyses, and reports experiments data.
- Focus on safe lab operations, managing lab routines, including equipment maintenance.
- Effectively communicates with internal technical colleagues, including R&D, Business Teams, and Production.
- Contribute to a creative R&D environment including ideation and innovation discussions.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field required.
- Summer internship or equivalent research experience in a lab environment preferred.
- Chemical synthesis experience in an industrial, academic, or government research lab preferred.
- Knowledge of polymer chemistry and structure property relationships preferred.
- Experience of characterization of chemical compounds via analytical techniques such as IR, UV, NMR, GC, DSC, DMA, TGA, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Strong commitment to environmental health and safety excellence.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
