To strengthen our team in Ann Arbor,
we are looking for you as a(n) Procurement Agent I.

 

This position has responsibility for operational purchasing functions for the goods and services purchased in support of all WACKER US sites. This individual will support Operational Procurement with RFQ/RFI's, order placement and confirmation, follow up on past due orders and all other procurement duties as needed. This person is responsible for the protection of the Company's assets by procuring materials & services in an ethical manner that meets WACKER's strategic goals and provides the greatest overall monetary value to the supply chains. This person will help to promote procurement practices and facilitate the continuous improvement of partnerships between its internal customers and WACKER's suppliers to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Create and issue purchase orders as needed for all goods and services for the US plants.
  • Purchase order management including order confirmations, past due follow up, expediting and invoice verifications.
  • Create and administer RFQ/RFI's as needed for all goods and services
  • Analyze and compare supplier quotations.
  • SAP data maintenance and management.
  • Create and provide SAP and other reports to management as needed.
  • Manage interactions with numerous levels in the organization at multiple locations in the US

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • Associates Required, Bachelors preferred or equivalent years of work experience. Procurement/Supply Chain
  • Preferred 3+ years of consistent work experience in Procurement in a large global/multicultural company within the Chemical and Manufacturing Industries with proven successful job performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Preferred experience with SAP/Ariba, e-auction tools, and other e-tools for procurement reporting, efficiency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
